Our dear, sweet mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Floy Carleen Clark"Corkie" Craddock, better known as Grannie, went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2022. She was born May 20, 1925, in Robert Lee, Texas to Willie and Freeman Clark. She graduated from Robert Lee High School in 1942 and married Bill Craddock on November 28, 1945, after his return from WWII. They lived in Colorado City, Texas and were involved in the family business, Ford Motor Company, until 1952 when they moved to Medina, Texas.
In Medina Bill was a rancher and building contractor and Corkie was a housewife. In 1960 she was hired by Medina Independent School District as school secretary and remained in that position for 31 years. She tended to and took care of many of you and your children. She was a member of Medina United Methodist Church and served as treasurer for 43 years. She also served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, was an avid reader and loved to play solitaire. She adored her husband, Bill, two children, six grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bill Craddock. She is survived by daughter Ann Wells and husband Buddy of Medina, son Frank Craddock and wife Fayrene of Medina, six grandchildren: Tim Wells (Brooke), Cody Wells, Misti Springfield (Brent), Reyna Faris (Brian), Chad Meyer (Laura), and Billy Craddock (Natalie) along with sixteen great grandchildren: Miller, Gatlin, Autry, and Judson Wells, Allyson Wells, Sydni Springfield, Raylee, Craddock, and Preslee Faris, Cole, Caleb, and Landry Meyer, and Hayden, Brenson, Carson and Stella Craddock, as well as five nieces:Fran, Berta, Cilla, Dana, and Lou C.
Services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 2:30 P.M. at Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at Oak Rest Cemetery in Medina, Texas.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Medina Library or the Medina Volunteer Fire Department.
