Evelyn 'Louise' Sorrells Evans, long time resident of Bandera, Texas born October 8, 1925 in San Antonio went home to be with the Lord on May 26, 2017 at the age of 91. \r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Ethel Sorrells of San Antonio and her husband of 59 years James "Jimmie" William Evans Jr. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Bernice, Olan, June, George, Edith, Gilbert, and Harold Sorrells. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by her brother Donald Sorrells (wife Waynette) of San Antonio. She is also survived by her children Barbara (Husband Steve Skipper) of Bandera, Martha (Husband Ken Thiessen) of Calgary, Canada, and Scott (Wife Nanette) of Boerne. She was "Lou Lou" to her grandchildren Kevin Skipper, Meredith Daniel, Alexandra Nuth, Austin Evans, Wyatt Evans and great grandchildren: Jon Skipper, US Navy (Wife Melanie), Cody Skipper, Ryan Skipper, and Ianna Daniel. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews all over the world. Louise was a long time member of Christ Chapel in Bandera. \r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Building Fund at Christ Chapel, PO Box 459, Bandera, Texas 78003. \r\n\r\nVisitation will be Wednesday May 31 from 4-6 pm at Grimes Funeral Home. Funeral will be at Christ Chapel in Bandera Thursday, June 1 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Dave Ruark of Christ Chapel Officiating and burial to follow in the Amasa Clark Cemetery on the "Old Evans Ranch" at Amasa Clark Road off Schmidtke Road off Highway 470.
