Evalyn Juanita Poole, 95, of Bandera, passed away in her home on March 31, 2016. Evalyn was surrounded by loved ones in her final moments and is now resting with her Savior Jesus Christ. She was born to Roy and Thelma Jones on July 27,1920 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She married William Oliver "Bill" Poole and they celebrated 61 years of marriage together.\r\n\r\nEvalyn graduated from Roy Miller High School and attended Corpus Christi Business School. She was involved in community volunteer work including March of Dimes and PTA. She loved working with her hands and was an avid quilter, knitter and sewer. Evalyn was a lifelong devoted Christian woman who formerly attended the Church of Christ in Alice and was a current member of Camp Bandina Church of Christ. Evalyn and her late husband Bill contributed of their time and resources to assist in the development of Camp Bandina, which was very special to them both.\r\n\r\nEvalyn is preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Poole, son Billy Poole, daughter George Ann Aycock and sister Roy Desi Berry.\r\n\r\nEvalyn is survived by her daughter Cyndy Zachryand her husband Rowan; daughter Prissy Urban; daughter Patty Foster and her husband Wade, son-in-law Bobby Aycock; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.\r\n\r\nA celebration honoring Evalyn's life will be held 4 pm, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera, Texas. Evalyn's family openly invites everyone to join them in remembering the life of this loving wife, caring mother and grandmother, and dedicated servant of God.\r\n\r\n"This family will go on.
