Eva Rodriguez

Eva Garza Rodriguez passed away from this life on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at a local care center. She was born to the late Jesus and Marcella Garza in Kerrville, Texas on June 16, 1938.\r\n\r\nShe was married to the late James D. (Jimmy) Rodriguez until his passing in 2019.\r\n\r\nEva was a long time resident of Kerrville, having worked at Gibson Discount Center for 45 years.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Anne Clapper and her husband Robin; and her son, James David Rodriguez and his wife Terry. She is also survived by her sisters, Henrietta Ruis (Reynaldo), Elisa Hernandez (Joe), Estella Calderon (Eloy), Olga Dominguez (Ruben), Esmeralda Garza, Emma Rosas (Rudy) and Rose Torres; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sarah Escobar, Joseph Chappins and Jamie Rodriguez; and her six great-granddaughters, Alijah and Iann Chappins, Olivia and Avery Escobar and Aliyana and Ariella Ornelas, all whom she loved very much.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Rodriguez; granddaughter, Christina Chappins; her brothers, Ramiro, Jesse, Reynaldo, Albert, Robert and Carlos Garza; her sisters, Esther Trevino, Ernestina Rosas and Sylvia Centeno.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n\r\nGraveside services will be held privately.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peterson Hospice. \r\n\r\nThe family would like to thank the staff at Alpine Terrace Nursing Home, and Peterson Hospice for caring for our mother.
