Erline Ward was born on July 3, 1914, the first child to Frank J. and Martha Roxie Petruy, and died March 31, 2015 in her home. She celebrated her 100th birthday in 2014 by saying that she was still on earth to "spread love and sunshine" which she did everyday. \r\n \r\nShe graduated from Rogers High School in 1932 as the salutatorian of her class. She attended Baylor College Belton and in 1934 married J.B. Ward. During WWII she moved to Houston and began her business career. In 1950 she married Greg Harrison and moved to San Antonio. She went to work for Borden's, Inc. in the mid 1950's as the executive secretary to the company president and retired with 25 years of service. While at Borden's, in 1955, she became the charter president of Executive Women International. Erline had a very active lifestyle including modeling for Joske's Department Store, "manicuring" her yard, bowling, and dancing. She remarried J.B. Ward and retired to Kerrville in 1986 where she continued her active lifestyle. She was a bowler up to the age of 98 years. \r\n \r\nShe was predeceased by her parents, her husbands, J.B. Ward and Greg Harrison, sister, Evelyn Bailey, and brother, Frank J. Petruy, Jr. \r\n \r\nShe is survived by sister, Gwen Hood and husband, Jack, sister-in-law Billie Petruy, nieces and nephews, Jan Hedrick and husband, Scott, Randy Bailey and wife Velma, Karla Finta and husband Csaba, Pam Smith and husband Melvin, Linda Devers, Jack Hood, Jr. and wife Cyndi, and Kevin Petruy.
