Emily Bernice Hart \r\n\r\nEmily Bernice Hart, 77, of Medina, TX died at a San Antonio Hospital after a long illness on Sunday, September 17, 2017. Emily was born June 3, 1940, the daughter of Mildred and John Stoker of Southfield, Michigan. She was a graduate of Southfield High School and Cleary College of Ypsilanti, Michigan. That is where she met her husband and high school sweetheart Charles Urban Hart, known as her "Charlie". They raised a family in Kennebunkport, Maine and later retired and moved to Medina, Texas. One of Emily's great passions was making jewelry to give to her family and friends and you could always count on her to have plenty of inventory for charitable events. She also enjoyed traveling around the country with her husband in their RV and together they saw 40 of the 50 states.\r\n\r\nEmily is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charlie; daughters, Debbie Lightbody, of Kennebunk, ME and Darlene Hart Wood of Buxton, ME; sons, William Hart of Lyman, ME and Jeffery Hart of Oceanside, CA; sisters, Cora Totzke and Betty Neff; brother, Dr. John Stoker; grandchildren, Brian, Susie, Jenilee, Casey, Corey, Collin, Claudia, Joseph, Daniel and Dylan; great grandchildren, Callie, Cassidy, Carrigan, Seth, Hannah and Declan. Her Schnauzer dog, "Harley" and Bassett Hound, "Rufus" will miss her terribly.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local animal shelter of San Antonio.
