Emily Albrecht

Emily was born May 9, 1929 in St. Paul MN to J. Louis La Course and Carrie Hendrickson La Course and died in Corpus Christi, TX on March 24, 2016.\r\n \r\nEmily married William P. Albrecht in 1947. In 1951 Bill was transferred by 3M Co. to Dallas TX where they lived for 27 years and raised their four children. She was predeceased by her sister Elaine and her brothers Bill and Larry. \r\n \r\nEmily was active in her Lutheran Church as a Sunday School teacher and Superintendent, Synod delegate, Circle leader and Choir member. Other volunteer activities included Girl Scouts, Bethesda Lutheran Hospital, Science Museum of Minnesota, Cowboy Artists of America Museum and Heart of the Hills Cardiac Rehab. She worked at Brown and Bigelow, Allied Finance, the Lowery and St. Paul Hotels, Walgreen's, Vandy's Shoe Store and Texas Instruments. \r\n \r\nEmily's family was a most important part of her life. She was very proud of her husband, Bill and her children. She is survived by her four loving and cherished children and their spouses: Joyce Wilcox of Corpus Christi, Texas; Susan Goodney of Lincoln City, Oregon; Jeannie Albrecht of Wylie, Texas; Bill Albrecht of Dripping Springs, Texas; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; cousins, Fran Otterkill, Bonnie Godwin; brother in law, John Renner; beloved nieces and nephews; and many friends she met along her journey of life. \r\n \r\nGraveside Service will be private. Memorials may be made to Kerrville Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund; American Heart Association; Peterson Hospice or a charity of your choice.\r\n
