Ellis Ritchie

Ellis Ritchie ("Tito"), 85, of Bandera, TX, passed away on February 8, 2016. He was born in Eagle Pass, TX to Johnnie and Alex Ritchie on January 12, 1931. He married Kathelene Rodgers on November 5, 1954 in Poteet, TX. \r\n\r\nHe was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army from 1951 - 1953. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed farming in Eagle Pass, TX in his younger years, then retired from Civil Service.\r\n\r\nEllis is preceded in death by his mother Johnnie Harvey, Stepfather Duffy Harvey, Father Alex Ritchie, brother Lawrence Ritchie, and brother Luther Ritchie.\r\n\r\nEllis is survived by wife, Kathelene; daughter, Patty Stovall and her husband Wes; sons, Jesse Ritchie and his wife, Trinka, Wade Ritchie and his wife, Charla; sister, Jessie Hunter; grandchildren, Levi Evensiosky, Aaron Evensiosky, Tana Martin, Todd Ritchie, Corey Ritchie, Casi Ritchie, Harlee Ritchie, Keyla Phillips, Blake Alanis and Caleb Gunnells; great grandchildren, Emma Evensiosky, Dylan Zinsmeyer, Ethan Martin, Cobe Martin, Zaiden Turner, Kenton Phillips, Kase Phillips, and numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be held at 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels at Bandera.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Bandera, TX. Burial will follow at Pipe Creek Cemetery.
