Elizabeth Ann Traeger Ryan passed through death on June 6, 2016, at the age of 92 in New Braunfels, Texas. "Tudy" was born April 1, 1924 in Seguin, Texas to Andrew J. and Katie Blumberg Traeger. \r\n \r\nAfter graduating from Seguin High School in 1942, she attended Santa Rosa School of Nursing in San Antonio, graduating in 1945 as a Registered Nurse. Her nursing career was followed by her marriage to Richard G. Ryan in 1948 and a long career as a Presbyterian Minister's wife in Vanderbilt, Kerrville, San Antonio and Seguin. She also worked part time at James Avery, which she loved, and after moving back to Kerrville, served on the Board of Directors of Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital for several years. She always knew, even as a little girl, that she wanted to do something with her life to help and care for others. Tudy had a heart willing to give itself away. Her philosophy was living means giving. \r\n \r\nShe is preceded in death by her parents, husband Rev. Richard G. Ryan, sister Betsy Traeger Weyel, and brothers, Kimble Traeger and Bobby Traeger. \r\n \r\nSurvived by nieces, Kitty Keller, Libby Weyel; and nephews, Stephen Traeger, Kim Traeger, Paul Traeger, and Andrew Traeger. \r\n \r\nA Memorial Service will be held in the sanctuary at The First Presbyterian Church, Kerrville, Texas Saturday, June 18th at 10:00 a.m.
