Elaine Payne, age 75 of Kerrville, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 in a local hospital. She was born November 23, 1939, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Gayle and Earl Guinn. \r\n \r\nShe attended Louisiana College, in Pineville. In her early adulthood she lived in the mid-West and Alaska as an air force wife. She moved to Houston in 1987 to work as a patient advocate at MD Anderson Hospital, and later she took the position of volunteer coordinator for CanCare, a non-profit cancer support group. In Houston she met and married BW Sonny Payne. They moved to Kerrville in retirement in 2005. \r\n \r\nIn addition to her husband, Elaine is survived by her son, Matt Crump and his wife Cindy of London, England; grandchildren, Rhiannon McLain, John Crump, and Addison Crump; her great-grandchild, Logan McLain; her step-mother, Neva Guinn of Louisiana; and several cousins.\r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held 2 PM, Monday, December 22, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church officiated by Rev.
