Edwinna Doggett, 92, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Joshua, Texas to Clifford Marshall and Mamie Irene Young on October 12, 1925. She married Paul Rose in October 1941, and after his passing in December 1995, she married Raymond Doggett in October 1996.\r\n\r\nShe went to school in Joshua, Texas. She worked as a cashier in the commissary and as the owner/manager of General Nutrition Center for many years. She was involved in a women's softball league as the pitcher. She loved to bowl, play cards and dominoes, but her greatest joy came from sojourners across the states, teaching young children about Jesus, and reaching out to seek and save the lost. \r\n\r\nEdwinna was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Marshall; mother, Mamie Irene Young; sister, Lucille Marshall Sharpe; brother, Ruble Marshall; brother, Alton Marshall; husband, Paul Rose; and husband, Raymond Doggett.\r\n\r\nEdwinna is survived by daughter, Paula Wiley; granddaughter, Rolene Schriedel; and grandson-in-law, Michael Schriedel.\r\n\r\nVisitation with the family will be at 1 pm on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, Texas.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Chaplain Kim Jarrell of NorthWest Church of Christ San Antonio, officiating. \r\n\r\nThe family of Edwinna wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Mystic Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare, the staff at San Antonio Hospice, NorthWest Church of Christ, and Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n\r\n
