Edwin Arthur Jackson, age 88 of Kerrville, who passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in a San Antonio hospital. He was born January 30, 1929 in North Adams, Massachusetts to George and Ruth (Brown) Jackson.\r\n \r\nEdwin retired from the United States Army. He was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, the Elks Club and the Antique Auto Club. He also was a volunteer with the American Red Cross.\r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by a son, Michael Jackson, in 2009.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include wife, Elaine M. Jackson of Kerrville; daughter, Cynthia Jackson of Guerneville, California; son, Robert Jackson and wife, Stephanie of Mitchell, Indiana; grandchildren, Dylan Dockstader, Cody Dresser, Gloria Edwards, Angelinea Nash, and Ansel Jackson; and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by step-children, Joe Ed Liska Jr. and wife, Lee Ann, Scott L. Liska, and Donnalynn Waldon and husband, Rick; and five step-grandchildren.\r\n \r\nRecitation of the Holy Rosary will be 6 PM, Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Deacon Charles Domingues.\r\n \r\nA memorial mass will be held 11 AM, Monday, March 13, 2017 at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father David Wagner as celebrant.\r\n
