Edward Peters

Edward R. Peters, Jr., 79, of Bandera, passed away on March 6, 2019 in Bandera. He was born in Alice, Texas to Katherine Via and Edward Runnels Peters on September 1, 1939.\r\nHe Married Bettie Duff on March 8, 1963 in Bandera, Texas.\r\n\r\nHe was a 1958 graduate of Alice High School and also graduated from San Antonio College. He also went to the university of Arizona and retired 1992 after 25 years with USAA.\r\n\r\nHe is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Bettie; sister Katherine Peters Hortenberry and his brother, Talmadge "Tam" Peters.\r\n\r\nEd is survived by sons, Brian Peters and Kenneth Peters, both of Bandera; brother, Rick Valley of Round Rock, Texas; brother-in-law, James and wife Margaret Duff; 2 Nieces; 1 Nephew and many cousins, extended family members and friends. \r\n\r\nA Visitation will be held Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Grimes Chapel in Bandera with Mr. Martin Smith officiating, interment will follow at Bandera Cemetery.\r\n\r\n
