Edgar Habenicht

Arlan Habenicht (aka Ed) age 75 of Bandera passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at his home. He was born to Edgar and Evelyn Habenicht on November 29, 1941.\r\n\r\nArlan went to school in Bandera. After graduation he received an associate degree in electronics. He worked at Kelley AFB and then went to the FAA. He was a member of the Bandera United Methodist Church. He served on the Board of the Bandera Cemetery Association and volunteered countless hours at Helping Hand.\r\n\r\nArlan is preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Evelyn Habenicht.\r\n\r\nArlan is survived by a devoted "daughter" Linette Dury (John) and children John Baylor and Walker and his loving companion Katherine McDaniel. He is also survived by his aunt Mildred Bausch and cousins Linda Bausch Hunter, Walter Bausch (Linda), Alfred Bausch (Bonnie) and Numerous second and third cousins; as well as many dear friends.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, October 27, 2017, at Bandera United Methodist Church with Rev. Kyle Toomire and Rev. Larry McRorey officiating. Burial will follow at Bandera Cemetery.\r\n\r\nPallbearers will be Jim Anderwald, Alfred Bausch, Walter Bausch, Pat Boyle, Charlie Fellows and Franz Gruesteiner. Honorary pallbearers are Don Davenport, James Duff, Harvey Faris, and Jerry Watts.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Helping Hand of Bandera, the Bandera United Methodist Church, or to a charity of your choice.
