Edgar Gase

Edgar A. Gase, age 81 went to his heavanly home Friday, November 3, 2017 in a San Antonio hospital. Edgar was born November 18, 1935 to Frances Hoepf Gase and Armond Gase in Tiffin, Ohio. \r\n\r\nHe served his country honorably as a U. S. Marine. He was united in marriage to Joan Sendelbach on June 25, 1955 in Tiffin, Ohio. Edgar had been a resident of Pipe Creek, Texas since 1999. Prior to that he lived in San Antonio. He graduated from St. Mary's University and retired from North Park Lincoln Mercury after many years of employment. He loved spending time with his friends and family on Lake Buchanan and was very good at wood working and enjoyed reading when he wasn't an avid Spurs or Ohio State Buckeyes fanatic. He was active in the St. Stanislaus parish and the Knights of Columbus. \r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Lester and Richard Gase and his son James E. Gase. \r\n\r\nSurvivors include his wife of 62 years, Joan; daughters, Jean Marie Mosel and husband Kurt, Mary Gase and Cheryl Janet Essick and husband Michael A. Essick; brothers Charles Gase and wife Beverly, Kenneth Gase and wife Janet and Leon Gase and wife Lynn; numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, Keri McCall Mosel, Nikole Gase, Cassidy Gase Buckley and husband Briar, Brandon Michael Essick and wife Heather, Christopher Edgar Essick and Julie Elizabeth Essick; great grandchild Amelia ClaireEssick. \r\n\r\nThe family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday November 8, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM Thursday November 9, 2017 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church followed by Mass at 10:00 AM. Entombment with military honors will take place at 2:30 PM at Holy CrossCemetery.
