E. Huebner

E.A. "Al" Huebner, 94, of Utopia, passed away on December 4, 2018 in Utopia. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Winnifred and Ernest Huebner on February 10, 1924.\r\n\r\nHe graduated from the University of Texas in Austin and joined the Texas Ex's Class of 1947. Al was an active member of the Utopia Baptist Church. He was involved in ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), Texas Board of Professional Engineers and was an active member of the Utopia Lion's Club.\r\n\r\nHe is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Verna Mae Shields who passed away in February of 1999; daughter, Edith Ann Rooney; son, Robert Shields Huebner.\r\n\r\nAl is survived by his wife, Judith Winn Huebner; sons, Jack G. Huebner and wife Susan of Lumberton, TX, James A. Huebner and wife Rebecca of Spicewood, TX, Donald L Huebner and wife Laura of Bridge City, TX and Martin W. LaFrance and wife Kelli of Middletown, MD; daughter, Andrea M. Wittenbrink and husband Darrell of Hondo; brother, Harry James Huebner of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Mandie Huebner, William and Wesley Rooney, Russell Huebner, Kelly Goldfarb, Chris and Scott Huebner, Laren Sheninger, Nicole Daigle, Heather Teer, Meghan Hughes, Matthew and Amy LaFrance; 10 loving great grandchildren. \r\n\r\nMemorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Utopia Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Lynn officiating.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family request memorials may be given to Utopia Volunteer EMS; Sabinal County Museum; Utopia Volunteer Fire; Keep Utopia Beautiful or the Utopia Library.
