Enid Perez, 94, of The Flying L Ranch, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2014 in her Bandera, Texas home. She was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to Emma and Frank M. Benn on May 18, 1920. \r\n\r\nBeginning school in New Jersey, she continued on through High School, met and married Charles E. Perez on October18, 1942 in Arlington, New Jersey and had two energetic boys. Enid was a devoted Army wife, traveled in many countries and over her life was fortunate to have worked for General MacArthur in Japan, the Missouri Highway Patrol and the USGeological Survey. Due to various deployments of her husband, she managed as a single parent, showing great strength and independence raising her sons. Her constant faith in God's love,grace and mercy were evident in her daily life. By her example, she taught us how to live our faith in a challenging world. For a number of years, she taught the ladies Sunday School Class atFirst Baptist Church, helped many people in the community and was always ready to support a number of non-profit community activities. Enid was concerned about the direction our country was heading and was involved with the Bandera County Republican Party.\r\n\r\nEnid is survived by two sons, Charles and his wife Diane from Houston, and Michael and his wife Nona from Bethesda, Maryland, 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. \r\n\r\nA Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 20 starting at 11:00 am in the First Baptist Church of Bandera, 1302 Pecan Street.The family wishes to extend its sincere heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the greater First Baptist Church community for their many years of caring support for our Mother. \r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
