Dorothy Monk

Dorothy E. Monk, age 95 passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at her home in Lakehills, Texas.\r\n\r\nShe was born October 1, 1922 in Tower City, North Dakota to Myrtle Dawson LeBeau and Stephan LeBeau. Dorothy was part of the Greatest Generation and did her part working in a ship yard. She was united in marriage to George M. Monk and became a military wife.\r\n\r\nDorothy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband MSgt George M. Monk, USAF ret. in 2016.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include her daughter Stephanie LeBeau; her son George M. Monk, Jr.; grandchildren Stacye Cervantes and Sean P. LeBeau; great grandchild Kaylyn.\r\n\r\nA graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:00 PM. with intermet next to her husband.\r\n\r\nFor those wishing to attend, please enter the cemetery by the main entrance off Harry Wurzbach, go past the flag pole and watch for "shelter directions." The shelter assignment will not be made until Tuesday afternoon.
