Dorothy Maurer

Dorothy (Haun) Maurer, 88, of Kerrville passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, in Peterson Regional Medical Center. She was born in Sandy, TX on September 11, 1930, to Louis and Rosa (Rech) Haun.\r\n\r\nShe married William J. Maurer on September 10, 1949; he preceded her in death on April 10, 2009. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Cora Lindeman, Nelda Schaefer, and Lillie Sultemeier; and brothers, Edison Haun, Clemens Haun and Arthur Haun.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be at Grimes Funeral Chapels on Friday, April 19th from 5 to 7 PM. \r\n\r\nFuneral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 20th at Zion Lutheran Church in Kerrville with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Fredericksburg at 2:00 PM.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.\r\n
