Dorothy Anders

Dorothy Eileen Anders, known to friends & family as Dottie, age 69, of Waring, TX, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017, in San Antonio. She was born on December 15, 1947, in San Antonio, to William Victor and Lillie Irene Newmann Schneider. On February 5, 1971, she married Donald Dee Anders. \r\n \r\nDorothy was Postmaster in Waring for over 30 years. She enjoyed her weekly poker group and volunteering with the activities of the Waring Volunteer Fire Department. \r\n \r\nDorothy is survived by her brother, Bob Schneider and wife Lissie of Pipe Creek, TX; stepdaughters, Vicki Reilly and husband Bubba of Boerne, and Laurie Muir and husband Robert of Austin; nephew, Jason Schneider and wife Wendy of Pearland, and their daughter Carly; niece, Melani Weltens and husband Brian of Boerne and their children Jack and Sam; step grandchildren, Brandi Reilly, Shanna Reilly, and Dustin Muir; and her special dogs, Daphne, Molly, and Rocky. \r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Don Anders, and her sisters, Diane Schneider, and Vicki Schneider. \r\n \r\nA graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Pipe Creek Cemetery with Pastor Celia Halfacre officiating. \r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Dottie's name to the Waring Volunteer Fire Department, Box 175, Waring, TX 78074. \r\n
