Dorcas Bishop

Dorcas Ada Bishop, 96, of Austin, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. \r\n \r\nShe was a housewife and seamstress for most of her life, she loved her work. \r\n \r\nShe was married to Elvis Bishop until his death June 28, 1990. Dorcas and Elvis lived in Kerrville many years and Elvis pastored a church in Kerrville for many years. They had 8 children - 2 of which preceded her in death, Eddie and Boyce.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by 4 daughters, LaNeva Peacock and husband, Glenn, Glenda Foster and husband, Wayne, Gaylene Barker and husband, Jerry and Terri Hancock and husband, David; 2 brothers, Pete Bishop and daughter in law, Barbara, and Randy Bishop; 18 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and many other loving family and friends.\r\n \r\nThe funeral service will be held 10 AM, Monday, April 27, 2015 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Rev. Earl Pruit.
