Donnie Fay Rowan, 59, of Ingram, Texas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 after struggling with lung cancer. She went peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones.\r\n \r\nBorn on February 3, 1958 to Eddie and Edith (Hammer) Smith. Married the Love of her life Charles Rowan on October 19, 1973. She has been an Ingram Elementary pre-k bus driver for 14 years and loved her job driving her "little ones" as she would call them. They truly made her happy and she loved each and every one of her "little ones."\r\n \r\nDonnie is survived by husband, Charles Rowan; children, Jonathan Rowan, Virginia Rowan, Joseph Rowan and Michelle Rowan; grandchildren, Kendra Dickerson, Eric Conroy, Kaylee Rowan, Ethan Rowan and Nathan Rowan; siblings, Denice Dement, James Smith, Marie Perry, Brenda York, Dalton Smith, Penny Smith, Linda Parr and Rocky Smith; along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews all of whom loved her dearly. \r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Dalton Smith; mother, Edith Merle (Hammer) Smith; and brother, Richard Lee Smith. \r\n \r\nDonnie was a wonderful woman loved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed.\r\n \r\nServices will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Western Hills Baptist Church located at 2010 Goat Creek Rd., Kerrville, Texas 78028.\r\n
