Donna White Alexander, 92 years old, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October2, 2014 at her home in Bandera. Her family was with her at the time of her death. She was born and grew up in Council Grove, Kansas. She attended one year at Bradford College in Haverhill, MA followed by one year at the University of Kansas before marrying Robert Warren Alexander in 1942. Over their married life Donna and Bob lived in Austin, TX, while Bob was in Law School, LaMarque and Galveston, TX.during 32 years of Bob's law practice and then, retired to their ranch in Bandera where they have spent the past 35 years. They celebrated 72 years of marriage. Donna's positive attitude was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. She was active in the Bandera Fine Arts Club and from 1982 to 1984. She enjoyed participating in the Sierra Madre Garden Club in Kerrville, DAR and Friends of the Library. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by her husband: Bob, (3) daughters: Julie and J.D. Cage of Muleshoe, Texas; Barbara Dlouhy of Vida, Oregon; Peggy and A.C. Frese of Birmingham, Alabama; Eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held Monday October 6, 2014, 10:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Russ Lambert officiating, Interment will follow in the Bandera Cemetery.\r\n\r\nThe family requests that any honorary contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.\r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
