Dixie Dawson

Dixie Aderholt Dawson (Grams/Tiff), 67, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at her residence and was surrounded by her dearest loved ones, after a fierce battle with cancer. Dixie was married to Thomas Gene Dawson on June 26,1970 and together they created a foundation to a wonderful family. \r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Wild Ride Ministries located at 20842 W. US Hwy 290 in Harper.\r\n \r\nDixie is survived by husband, Thomas Dawson; children, Brandie and Craig Brands, Paulette (Rosie) Clark, Rhonda and Dave Schwartz, and Thomas and Stephanie Simmons; siblings, Ted and Sandra Aderholt, Carolyn Melton Shirley and Don Stewart; grandkids, Taylor Gene, Raegan, Grayson, Jessie, Angie, Brett, Ashley, Dawson and Brayden; 5 great grandkids; a nephew and many nieces. \r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by son, Michael Day Vester Jr.; mom, Fannie Pernola Aderholt; dad, Johnny Mayo Aderholt; and a brother, Willie Ray Aderholt. \r\n \r\nDixie spent many wonderful years living in the Texas Hill Country, surrounding herself with loving family, sharing her journey and experiences of life. There were so many laughs and smiles shared, and many memories made. So many moments will be missed. \r\n
