Dianne P. Grimes, age 89 of Kerrville, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at home. She was born April 7, 1927 in Montrose, CO to parents, Clara and Kenneth Deutsch. She married James Elton Grimes in Abilene, KS.\r\n \r\nDianne was an avid painter and enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, gardening, belonging to her Beta Sigma Phi sorority and most of all, SHOPPING.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by daughters, Purthena Susan King-Baker, Margaret Anne Hyry, Carol L. Sample, Mallonie D. Goforth and her husband, Ernest. Grandchildren, Jerry Don King II, Denise Wilson, Shanna Ledgerwood and her husband, Charles ("Chuck"), Kevin Bales and his family, Shon Avery and his wife, Shannon, Mallonie M. Atwood and her husband, Ricky and Christopher D. Bales; great grandchildren, Krystal Harper, Rylee King, Hunter King, Bryse Self, Teresa McNabb and her husband, Jeremy, Tyler Ledgerwood, Tristan Ledgerwood, Chance Bales, Rebecca Bales, Nickolas Avery and Nicole Aver. Great great grandchildren, Coltan Finney and Keegan McNabb.\r\n \r\nThe family would like to give a special thanks to Gentiva Health Hospice and Riverhills Health and Rehab and their staff for their gentle loving care. Also, special thanks to Dianne's caring neighbors, Charles and Charlotte Silvers and Arnold Garcia.\r\n\r\nNo services will be held.\r\n
