On November 20th, 2020 MSG David Thompson, 93 was called home to his Father and Savior. Dave was born March 10th, 1929 to David and Lura Thompson in Lubbock, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, wife Floriene Thompson, and first wife Ludwina Uth Thompson, sister Bessie, and brothers James (Peewee), and Clarence (Butch.)\r\n\r\nDave was a U.S Veteran and proudly served in the Army for 30 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He served during World War II, Korean and Vietnam Wars. After retiring from the Army, Dave settled in Pipe Creek where he enjoyed the hill country. Dave and his wife were active in Castle Lake Volunteer Fire Department.\r\n\r\nDave is survived by son David Thompson (Doyce), daughter Mary Ann Weinmann (Heinz), sons John Sorrell (Vicki), Scott Sorrell (Ann); Grandchildren Sandra Luderer, Petra Schumacher, David Thompson (Morgan), Lacey Sorrell, Tiffany Sorrell (Stefanie), Amanda Zaiontz (Mark), Brittany Marikos (Andrew), great grandchildren Luca and McKenzie, sister LaTrell Haveman, brother Archie Thompson and many nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\n\r\nA viewing will be held from 1PM-2PM, Service at 2PM, with Military Honors, on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, 1214 Mulberry, Bandera, Texas 78003, (830) 796-3922. officiated by Rev.
