David Lester Rollison, 78, of Bandera, Texas, passed away peacefully, Monday July 18th 2016 in the comfort of his own home.\r\n\r\nDavid is survived by his wife, Mona, of 59 years, 5 daughters Danita, Myra, Mona, Lisa and Christina and 10 grandchildren Ricky, Daniel, Matthew, Lisa, Corey, David, Cameron, Shelly, Derek, Shawn, and many loving great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. David was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to all.\r\n\r\nDavid served 20 years in the US Army, including 2 tours in Vietnam, retiring as a CW4 in 1978. Following retirement, David rediscovered his passion for arts which ranged from whimsical sculptures, intricate wood work and beautiful oil paintings. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles with friends and family.\r\n\r\nIn summary, David exemplified a true Christian spirit in his family, with his friends and any stranger in need. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Medina, Texas.\r\n\r\nGraveside services will be held 10:15 AM, Monday, July 25th, 2016 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, officiated by Rev.
