Dale Taulbee

Dale Stanley Taulbee, age 89, of Kerrville, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017. He was born February 28, 1928 in Mannford, Oklahoma to John Hilbert and Inez Iowa Stanley Taulbee. On his 18th birthday in 1946, Dale left high school to serve his country in the U.S. Army for three years, followed by one year in the Air Force. On October 16, 1950, he married Louise Clark in San Antonio. Dale was a professional truck driver for 43 years, driving for Vaughans Sash & Door Company, Transport Company of Texas, Chemical Express, P.M.T. Division of Southern Pacific in California and Nevada Cement and Consolidated Freightways in Nevada. He also attended Hartnell College in Salinas, California where he studied electronics.\r\n \r\nDale is predeceased by his parents, two brothers, James Martin and Herman Lee Taulbee and one sister, Dorothy Walkling. He is survived by his wife, Louise Clark Taulbee of Kerrville; daughters Frances Kathleen (Kathy) Gaulden of Kerrville and Karen Louise Pue and husband, Doug of Bandera; son Kenneth Dale Taulbee and wife, Jennifer of San Antonio; grandchildren Erik Prater and wife, Allison of Reno, NV, Amber Sides and husband, Joel of Medina, and Cassandra Coleman and husband, Daniel of Ingram; great-grandchildren Attican and Eligh Dale Prater, Kyle Prater, Makayla and Mariah Moreno, and Jaycee and Brody Doran. Also surviving is cousin, Jean Still and family of Gladewater, along with many nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nThe family will receive friends at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera with Pastor Tim DeLano and Pastor Richard Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Bandera cemetery. \r\n
