Colvin (Cole) Compton Moore, 85, of Bandera, Texas, passed away on March 13, 2015 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born in Dixon, Kentucky to Colvin Compton Moore Sr. and Mayme Bridwell Moore on November 12, 1929. He married Kuniko (Niki) Moore on January 17, 1952 in Japan. \r\n Cole went to school in Dixon, Kentucky. He worked with and retired from the US Border Patrol. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal with valor, Silver Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal and attained the rank of Technical Sargent. Cole was involved in the Boy Scouts of America, Masonic Lodge, and NRA.\r\nCole is survived by his wife, Niki Moore, children Niki Collins and husband Fred, Bill Moore and wife Brenda, sister Ann Atherton, grandchildren Nicole Jennings, Garrett Collins, and William Moore, and great-grandchildren Tony Jennings and William Thomas Moore.\r\n Visitation will be Tuesday, March 17th from 6-8 pm at Grimes Funeral Chapel in Bandera, Texas.\r\n Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 18th at 11:30am at Medina United Methodist Church in Medina, Texas with Pastor Bill Stegemueller officiating. A private family burial will be held at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas at a later date.\r\n The family wished to extend our sincere thanks to Jody and Terry Patrick, Pastor Bill Stegemueller and wife Anna, Dr. Jaafar and staff, Dr. Malave, River City Hospice, and Peterson Regional Hospital staff.\r\n\r\n
