Clem Mensch

Clem Nesbert Mensch, of Livingston, TX passed from this life on May 11, 2023.  He was a kind, loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather.    He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and were touched by his loving spirit.

Clem was born on May 20, 1935 in Trinity, TX to Janie Williamson Mensch and Charles Jackson Mensch and had one sibling, Charles Jerry Mensch.  He was raised in Trinity TX and moved to Livingston TX at age at age 52 where he was a loyal and devoted employee of Trinity River Authority for approximately 30 years and retired in 2019 at the age of 83.

Clem was a loving grandfather of 4 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren and had 11 great grand children. His number one priority in life was the love of his family, especially his children.  He was always proud to tell stories about them to anyone who would listen.  He was adored by each of them, helping to raise them into the kind and loving adults they are today.

He enjoyed camping and fishing in his younger years with his children and grandchildren.  His  favorite times, however, were sitting on the porch in Livingston, TX chatting with his wife and anyone who would visit while drinking coffee in the mornings and wine in the afternoons.  He loved reminiscing and telling old stories especially about his children and grandchildren in their younger years.  He had a contagious laugh that could light up a room.

Clem was preceded in death by his parents and his one sibling as well as his loving son, Kenneth Allen Mensch.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Betty Mensch,  son, Larry Wayne Mensch and wife Jodi, daughter, Diana Lynn Mensch and husband George.

He is also survived by his 4 grand children, 2 step grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.   Tiffany Little and husband Joey, Trevor Mensch and wife Lynzi, Taryn Mensch, Jessica Free Narabal and husband Josh, his step grand children, Rachel Renfrew and husband Kyle, and Ragan Butler and husband Harley.  Great grandchildren, Blake Little, Rhett Little, Katie Little, Harper Mensch, Hudson Mensch, Oliver Johnson, Mia Chavez, Brodie Renfrew, Hayes Renfrew, Lincoln Butler and Lawson Butler, along with numerous cousins and other distant relatives.

All of these people are joined together by the love Clem impressed upon them and the memories they shared together.
