Clara Marie Kadura Lee (age 81) was born November 10, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas to Joseph and Christina Kadura. Clara entered eternal rest on July 4, 2016 in Bandera, Texas after a lengthy battle from Parkinson's disease. Clara graduated from St. Gerard Catholic High School in 1953 where she was proud to twirl her baton for Team spirit for several years. Clara married her husband Damon Lee while he was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base on July 3, 1953. They were married for 46 years and had 3 children, Scott, Debby, and Diane. Clara and Damon lived in San Antonio, Laredo, England, Georgia, and retired to Pipe Creek, Texas. \r\n\r\nClara started her career with Civil Service in 1962 while her husband was stationed at Moody Air Force base in Georgia. She retired from Joint Personal Property Office (JPPSO) in 1994. Her last position was a GS-7 as a Personal Property Inspector for shipping goods for the military in the San Antonio area. Clara was a member of Herman Sons, Lodge 160 of San Antonio since 1955.\r\n\r\nClara enjoyed riding horses, going country/western dancing, playing bingo, camping at Garner State Park, and visiting the beach with her family. Embroidering was a passion in Clara's life. She loved presenting her embroidered pillow cases and other items to her loved ones. Clara was blessed by traveling to England, Germany, France, Ireland, and Cancun. \r\n\r\nClara is survived by her daughter, Diane Lee of Bandera, Texas (who she lived with), Grandson, Michael Lee of Pipe Creek (and Brittany Pitts), Great Grandson, Kaden Lee and Chaysen; son, Scott Lee and his spouse Gioconda of Boerne, Texas, Granddaughter, Jasmine Lee (USN) and spouse Chris Pandolfoof Manhattan, NY, Grandson, Joseph Lee and Lauren Francis of San Antonio; Granddaughter, Marie Dawe and husband Jeff of Pipe Creek, Great grandchildren, Alisa, Chelsie and Trey; Grandson, Robert Lee Murphey of Pipe Creek; sister, Florence Tripp of San Antonio and many nieces and nephews. \r\n\r\nClara is preceded in death by her husband, Damon Lee; daughter, Debby Windham; granddaughter, Christy; great grandson, Alex; Mother/Father, Joseph and Christina Kadura; sister, Dorothy Willis and husband Leroy Willis; and brother in-law, Hank Tripp. \r\n\r\nClara had a strong Catholic faith which was instilled in her from her Mother Christina Kadura, St. James Catholic Church and St. Gerard High School. She felt the support from her fellow parishioners from St. Victors in Lakehills, Texas and St. Stanislaus in Bandera, Texas that visited her at home when she was no longer able to attend Mass. The prayer blankets from St Victor's always gave her faith in the healing power of prayer. A special blessing goes to Father John, Rosemary and Ruth for making those much needed home visits. Thank you for the prayers and spiritual support we are blessed with. \r\n\r\nDiane Lee and Clara's entire family want to offer heartfelt appreciation to the following people: River City Hospice for the care and support you provided to us during our time of need, Silver Sage (Meals on Wheels) for filling our hearts (and stomachs) and Cedar Creek Nursing Homestaff for taking care of her when she stayed there. Deepest gratitude to Nancy Phelps and Shellie Tuma for the hours of care and friendship you provided to Clara and Diane at home. Diane wants to thank her extended family at Coventry Health Care/Aetna for the support and prayers you provided. \r\n\r\nIn honor of her Catholic faith, a rosary and service (Mass) will be held at St. Stanislaus Church in Bandera, Texas on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10 am. The gravesite burial will be held at Pipe Creek Cemetery immediately after the service. \r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to St. Victors Catholic Church in Lakehills, Texas, St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bandera, Texas or Silver Sage (Meals on Wheels) in Bandera, Texas in Clara's name.\r\n
