Christina Loyola Kalka, age 94 of Bandera, TX, passed away on September 24, 2015 in Bandera, TX. She was born in San Marcos, TX, to Francis Duff and Clara Maude Thompson Duff on February 5, 1921. She married Willie Andrew Kalka on August 25, 1938 in Bandera, TX.\r\n\r\nShe attended school in Tarpley, TX. She was a homemaker.\r\n\r\nChristina was preceded in death by her spouse of 58 years, Willie Kalka; her parents, Francis and Maude Duff; sisters, Agnes Kalka and Thelma Jureczki; brother, Dennis Duff; sons-in-law, Cecil Gilstrap, Truman Montgomery, William Wilkerson and Eddie Barber; daughter-in-law, Evelyn Kalka; great-great grandchildren, twins- Michael and Gabriel Bradford.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her eleven children, Margaret Gilstrap-Barber, Shirley Bradford-Teague, (David), Jerry Kalka, Tommy Kalka (Sue), Linda Samford (Charles), Theresa Fleeman (Jim), Elaine Kinsey (Richard), Helen Wilkerson (Andy), Wanda Schwengler (Tommy), Sammy Kalka, Connie Allen (Mike); 19 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, numerous step grandchildren; nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be Sunday, September 27, 2015, 5-7 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera, followed by a Rosary at 7 PM.\r\n\r\nFuneral Mass will be held Monday, September 28, 2015, 10 AM, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bandera with Father John Nolan officiating. Burial will follow at the Old St. Stanislaus Cemetery.\r\n\r\nPallbearers will be grandsons, Mark Bradford, Carl Wilkerson, Allen Samford, Carl Teague, Tommy Kalka II, Kevin Kinsey, Andy Lee Wilkerson, Jr.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be made to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church or River City Hospice.\r\n\r\nThe family of Christina Kalka wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Bandera Rehabilitation Center and River City Hospice.\r\n\r\nChristina was dearly loved by all and will be greatly missed.\r\n\r\n
