In Loving Memory of Christopher Brian Honeycutt, 48, who left this earth on March 7, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Chris was born December 1, 1972 in Waco, Texas to parents Jim Honeycutt and Glenda Menn. The family moved to Kerrville in 1976. Chris's school years were all attended in Kerrville ISD and he graduated from Tivy High School in 1992. During his school years Chris made many lifelong friendships. Chris always called Kerrville his home regardless of where he traveled. He played football, baseball, golf and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, camping and sitting around a fire listening to live music. Chris enjoyed hunting for artifacts, rocks and minerals and tended to share his treasures with others. He was the type of person who would literally give the shirt from his back to help others. His friends knew him to always be the most genuine and loyal to those that he loved. You could always count on Chris for a laugh and to lend a helping hand. He was a hard worker and a skilled tradesman. A lineman that traveled for his work, he saw many beautiful places. His heart was always open to receive and share the wonders of life and love. Chris was the proud father of his twin sons, Christian and Max Honeycutt. They were the loves of his life. Chris also had many close and wonderful friends that he loved and cherished dearly. His family who are left on this earth to honor and cherish his memory include: Mother, Glenda Menn; Father, Jim Honeycutt. Grandmother, Ellen Miller. Sister, Melissa Frazier. Sons, Christian and Max Honeycutt. Niece, Savannah Bratcher, and nephew Anthony Jimenez, Joshua and Maddie Honeycutt and their son Jonathan. Aunt Mary Ann Wells, aunt and uncle Betty Ruth and Scott Carter. Uncle and aunt Mike and Masako Honeycutt of Okinawa, Japan and aunt Allie Honeycutt as well as many loving cousins. His beloved dog and sidekick, Sue. Chris was preceded in death by his grandfather, Weldon Glenn Avery and grandmother and grandfather C.B. and Beola Honeycutt. Uncles Donny and Randy Honeycutt and his dear friends Big Chris Sharp, Big Rey Ramirez, Chance North, Randy "Pocus" Lackey and Cory Bryant. He will always be remembered with great love around many fire circles, jam sessions and fishing spots. It will be impossible to fill the void of our dear "Mike Oehlin!" The family would like to send a special thanks to Amanda Payne, Joleen Franklin and Ben Holloway. A celebration of life memorial service will be held Friday March, 19th at 5pm, Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any animal shelter of your choice.
