Cheyanne Jenkins Short, 20, of Bandera, passed away to heaven on Wed., Dec. 7, 2016 in Beaufort, SC.\r\n\r\nCheyanne was born in Cape Coral, FL to Clifford & Dennyeill Jenkins on Feb. 9, 1996, and was a 2014 graduate of Bandera High School and had attended Tarleton State University with continuing studies at Northwest Vista College.\r\n\r\nCheyanne was the beloved wife of Joseph Clay (JC) Short, married only recently, Oct. 25, 2016 in Medina, TX.\r\n\r\nAs an event planner for the City of Bandera, Cheyanne was ever present at the Cowboy Capital's venues and celebrations year round. Her volunteer spirit and investment of personal time to achieve success set a fine example of community involvement. Her leadership in 4-H and with numerous other clubs and organizations provided guidance, support and mentorship to peers and friends alike.\r\n\r\nKnown to her close friends as "Jenkies", with a love for both people and animals, Cheyanne was known for her positive and uplifting outlook on life, great sense of humor and for never taking "NO" for an answer. She will be missed by all who knew her\r\n\r\nCheyanne is survived by her beloved husband JC Short, sister Cassandra Jenkins, parents Clifford & Dennyeill Jenkins, Grandparents Bob and Eva Stalnaker, along with numerous extended family.\r\n\r\nMemorial visitation will be Friday, December 16th, 5-7pm and Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Sat. Dec. 17th, both at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Pastor David James and Louada Raschke of Louada Raschke Ministries, officiating.\r\n\r\nA reception will follow the Funeral services at 1307 Mulberry Street (across the street from Grimes).\r\n\r\nGraveside service will be in Vanderpool for the friends and families immediately following the Grimes Service.\r\n\r\nIf you would like to contribute to the Benefit Memorial fund, there is an account in her name Cheyanne Jenkins Short at Wells Fargo Bank in Bandera TX.
