My mom, Cheryl Denise Barton, passed away Thursday, January 24th, from what appeared to be a fatal heart attack. \r\n \r\nMom was born to this earth on the 22nd of November, 1972 to mother Uvette Hicks and Father Ronald J. Barton. She was a 1991 Medina High School graduate where she actively participated in band and color guard. She worked at the Camp Verde General Store and loved telling the history of it. She was especially proud of the spliced Black Walnut and Pecan trees my great-grandfather planted there. \r\n \r\nMy mother was 46 years old and in the prime of her life. She gave every last ounce of what she had to raise me, even when I didn't deserve it. She always stood by my side and I couldn't be more thankful. I never once in my life felt anything other than absolutely loved and cherished by her. I know for a fact that she loved me more than anything on this earth; She was a true mom. She always had her dreams and goals, but she never had a problem setting them aside for the ones she loved. She was a special woman, a lover and a fighter. She rescued animals, took people in, helped anyone she could, and always did it with a smile (and a little sarcasm). \r\n \r\nShe was the queen of my life.\r\n \r\nCher is survived by both her parents; her only son Nicholas Barton, his wife Ali; her siblings, Brandon Cason, his wife Vanessa, their children Caleb (14), Peyton (10), MacKenzie (8), Sammy Jo Barton and Kasey Brice.\r\n \r\n A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-4 PM, Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Core House Ministries in Medina.
