Charles Ray Phillips, 73, of Bandera, passed away on February 28th, 2015 in the town of Kerrville. He was born in Jollyville, Texas to Charles and Ethel Phillips on January 23rd, 1942.\r\n\r\nHe went to school in Chicago. He graduated from New Mexico State University in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He worked as a refinery superintendent for IMC for 17 years. After retirement he relocated to Bandera where he raised his children and filled his days working for local ranchers. He concluded his travels in retirement to Teakettle Village, Belize until his death.\r\n\r\nCharlie is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ethel Phillips of Llano, Texas and grandson, Chance Phillips.\r\n\r\nCharlie is survived by children, Christina Beard, Charles Phillips, Charissa Phillips, Sean Lowe, Vivian Cockerham, Crystal Phillips, Chelsey Phillips, Cassie Phillips, and Clayton Phillips; brothers and sisters, Arnold Phillips, Geneva Cagle, Karen Schubert, Georgette Carley, and James Phillips; grandchildren, Hunter Phillips, Tina Beard, Amy Bormet, Sam Beard, Bill Bormet, Cara Proctor, Randale Lowe, Dawson Proctor, Braden Lowe, Lexus Cavin, Victoria Lowe, Noah Phillips; and a great grandson, Beau Kennedy.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015 at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera, Wednesday, March 4th, 2015 with Mr. Martin Smith officiating.
