Charles Ethean Miears of Ingram, passed away on February 26, 2018 in Kerrville. He was born in Medina to Luther and Vada Miears on October 22, 1939. He married Bonnie Pickering on October 28, 1967. They recently celebrated 50 years together.\r\n \r\nHe attended school at Tivy High School in Kerrville. Charles loved to work with his hands and was a talented carpenter. He also owned his own roofing company. He was a veteran and served in the US Navy on the USS Esteem.\r\n \r\nCharles enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing trips with good friends. Some of his most cherished moments were spent with his family and grandchildren on family trips or just sitting around telling his stories. One of his favorite hobbies was working on old Willis Jeeps.\r\n \r\nCharles was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Miears and Burl Miears; sisters, Dorothy Miears Kane and Bernice Miears Parker.\r\n \r\nHe is survived by his wife, Bonnie Miears; son, Eddie Miears and wife Hong of North Carolina; daughter, Michele Fisher and husband, Trey of Hunt; daughter, Kim Lemmond and husband, Chuck of Cedar Park; sister, Ruby May; grandchildren, Ami Miears, Brianna, Baylan and Brooke Fisher, Kennedi and Abbi Lemmond; one great-grandchild, Cash Mosty and numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nFuneral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, March 2, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels. Interment will follow at Nichols Cemetery.\r\n \r\nPallbearers will be Eddie Miears, Baylan Fisher, Trey Fisher, Chuck Lemmond, Alan Blankenship and Brant Mosty.\r\n \r\nMemorials may be given to the American Heart Association.\r\n
