Charles "Bruce" Greer, 96, passed away on January 5, 2019, in Kerrville, Texas. He was born in Woodville, Texas, to Henry Francis Greer and Lela Tucker Greer on December 4, 1922. Bruce married his love, June Rae Ham on December 20, 1947 in Hobbs, NM.\r\n\r\nHe served his country for 27 years in the United States Air Force. Bruce was a veteran of WWII, and the Korean and Vietnam wars. After retiring from the Air Force he worked for Dupont in Beaumont, Texas for 15 years.\r\n\r\nBruce was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 68 years, June; brother, Roy Greer; sisters, Virgie Peacock, Stella Best, and Elsie Brackin; son, Carl; and grandson, Jason Henderson.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include daughter, Sandra Henderson and husband Jerry of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son, Danny Greer and wife Bethany of Evans, Georgia; daughter, Charlene Ford and husband Bret of Kerrville, Texas; grandchildren, Melissa Goldfinger, Heather Crellin, Cortney Raycroft, Michael Greer, Trevor Ford, and Lance Ford; great-grandchildren, Sammy, Halle, Parker, Payton, Andrew and Austin.\r\n\r\nA memorial service will be held at 11:15 AM, Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 220 Harper officiated by Pastor Dave Bass. \r\n\r\nA graveside service with full military honors will be held at Mount Pisgah Community Cemetery in Woodville, Texas at a later date.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be made to The American Red Cross, or Hosanna Lutheran Church, Kerrville.\r\n\r\nThe family of Bruce wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Peterson Hospice, Brenda and the staff of 220 Harper, Martha, and Peggy for their love and care.\r\n\r\n\r\n
