Charles "Chuck" Curtis Brittan, 53, of Kerrville, passed away in his home on Sunday, January 22, 2017 of natural causes.\r\n \r\nChuck was born May 26, 1963, in Bryan, TX, and grew up in Corpus Christi where he attended Carroll High School. He was an avid tennis player and enjoyed playing for his school. Though he was born in Aggieland, he attended the University of Texas. When his mom, step dad and 2 sisters moved to California in 1985, he decided to follow. He resided in northern CA for much of his adult life where he worked in the real estate mortgage industry. He was married and had a beautiful daughter, Katie, in 1990. He enjoyed kayaking, cycling and camping. After 20 years, he returned to Texas to be closer to his family. He continued in the real estate industry until his poor health prohibited him from working.\r\n \r\nHe is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Seth DeBord, Anacortes, WA, his two sweet grandchildren, Ann (22 months) and Joseph (1 month); mother and step-father, Sue and Bill Tiemann, Kerrville; his father and step-mother, Chuck and Peggy Brittan, Spring; sisters, Laura Brittan, Spring; Christi Rhome and husband Tim, College Station; Lisa Bayh and husband Darwin, Hempstead; two brothers, Gary Tiemann and wife Lori, West Columbia and Tim Tiemann and wife Wendy, San Antonio; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry B. and Louise Clark Brittan and Henry E. and Ione Bucher, Jr of Arlington, TX.\r\n \r\nWe pray he knew how much he was loved and how much he will be missed.\r\n \r\nCelebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 29th, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, in Kerrville, TX. \r\n \r\nThe family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time and ask in lieu of flowers, they suggest a memorial gift to a charity of your choice. \r\n
