Carole Swank

Carole Ann Swank,78, of Kerrville, passed away peacefully on May 24. She was surrounded by many of her adoring family members. \r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, Russel and Marion Bechtel, and by her husband, Lt. Col. Leonard Lee Swank. \r\n\r\nShe has four children, twelve Grandchildren and three great Grandchildren.\r\n\r\nAfter graduation from Penn State University in 1959, she married her college sweetheart, Leonard, who was beginning a career as an officer in the US Air Force. She taught elementary education for several years before devoting her efforts to raising her four children. They lived from coast to coast and in several places in between while in service to our country, ending up in Denver Colorado. There she returned to the work for the Denver Election Commission. Upon their retirement, they moved back to Texas in 2002 to live their dream at the Lone Acre Ranch, a home they built with a beautiful view of the hills above Kerrville. \r\n\r\nMom will be missed, but we know she is safe in the arms of Jesus.\r\n\r\nPrivate services will be held at a later date.
