Carole Lucille Pollard, age 76 of Kerrville, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at her residence. She was born February 6, 1941 in Houston, Texas to James B. Harris and Lucille E. Gustafson Harris. On December 23, 1961, she married Thomas W. Pollard.\r\n \r\nCarole graduated from Austin High School in 1959. She attended the University of Texas for 2 years and Durham Business School. \r\n \r\nShe worked in Pollard Law Office for many years, even for Tom's father, as a legal secretary. \r\n \r\nCarole loved her family and grandkids. She also loved to bake, especially for holidays.\r\n \r\nShe was a peacekeeper, a coach for the girls and was everyone's favorite "Nana". And, at the end of the day, she was a mom, grandma and great grandma.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Jean Schuhmacher and Helene Harris; sister in law, Jan Thomas; brothers in law, John Marshall Pollard and Leon Waddell Pollard Jr.; and great grandchild, Kamdyn Smith.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include husband, Tom Pollard of Kerrville; daughters, Staci Pollard of Kerrville and Kristi Hobson and husband, Bret of Mountain Home; sisters, Jamie Ibsen and husband, Andy of Dallas and Kim Baker and husband, Rob of Garland; sister in law, Martha Pollard and husband, Leroy Lamprecht; brothers in law, Geoffrey Thomas and Charles D. Pollard and wife, Lynn; grandchildren, Tony Hobson, Robert Hughes and wife, Trista, Nikki Hobson and Kassi Hughes; great grandchildren, Blazie Walker, Keaton Jace Hughes and Berkley Ryan Pilley; and numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held at 4 PM, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Rev. Frankie Enloe and Rev. W.D. Day.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.\r\n
