Carlton Amel Dommert went to be with his Lord on October 30th, 2014.\r\n\r\nHe was born to Amel Felix and Maude Elmina Dommert on May 21, 1934. Carlton was reared in Hunt, Texas where he graduated from Tivy High School in 1952. He was a veteran, having served his country for four years in the United States Air Force. After his enlistment, Carlton began his civilian career with Cities Service Company and retired in 1982.\r\n\r\nHe married Shirley Reed Dommert in 1954.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Howard Felix, Harold Perry, and Kenneth Gerald.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife, Shirley Reed Dommert; sons, Leslie Wayne and wife Dee, Doyle Phillip and wife, Yana, Blake Alan and wife, Donna; and brother, James Garland and wife, Joy. He had seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Carlton had numerous nieces and nephews and many caring friends.\r\n\r\nCasual graveside services will be held Monday, November 3, 2014, 11 AM at Garden of Memories Cemetery officiated by Rev. Mel Hardin.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Sunrise Baptist Church in Kerrville. \r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
