Carlos "Charlie" Moreno, 68, of Bandera, Texas, passed away on March 2, 2021 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Tomas A. Moreno and Carmen C. Moreno on February 24, 1953. He married Christina Cannon on November 10, 1973 in San Antonio, Texas. \r\nCharlie graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in San Antonio, Texas in 1973. He served in the United States Air Force from 1975 to 1979. He is considered a stateside Vietnam Veteran and a Desert Storm Veteran as he served in the 433rd reserve unit during that time. Charlie attended Texas Southern University for almost 4 years and was one course short of completing his degree as a Dietitian. His working career included an Admin Specialist for the USAF, Supervisor Dispatch Clerk for the City of San Antonio, of which he semi-retired to be a caregiver for his parents and to be a grandfather to his grandchildren. This, according to him, was his greatest achievement outside of putting his trust and faith in Jesus Christ. Charlie was also a faithful member and deacon of White Rock Christian Fellowship in Bandera, Texas.\r\n \r\nCharlie is preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Carmen Moreno, his brothers Tomas Moreno Jr. and Armando Moreno, and his grandson, Malachi Tomas Moreno.\r\nCharlie is survived by his wife, Tina, his children Carlos Jr. and his wife Mandy, James and his wife Anna, and Benjamin; his sister Mary Gonzales and husband Tommy, brother Abelardo Moreno and his wife Sybil; Grandchildren Josh, Isaac, David, Elizabeth, Elijah, Isaiah, Hannah, Rebekah, Josiah, Ayden, Sarah, Lydia; 3 great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, friends, and loved ones.\r\n\r\nA memorial service for Charlie will be held at 2 p.m: Saturday March 6, 2021 at White Rock Christian Fellowship with Bob Morris officiating.
