It is with great sadness that the family of Candice Rene Brendle Jackson announces her passing. \r\n\r\nAfter years of struggling with kidney and congestive heart failure, Candice left this earth on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. Born to the late Harmon Lybrand Brendle and Betty Jean Naugle Brendle on December 16, 1950, in Lafayette, Louisiana, Candice was the second oldest of six children. \r\n\r\nGraduating from Westbury High School in Houston, Texas in 1968 and receiving a Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston, Candice valued higher education and spent a large majority of her life pursuing her academic goals. Candice believed that education was a gateway to endless possibilities, and she spent a large majority of her life achieving her academic goals. \r\nIn addition to being a scholar, Candice was also an entrepreneur. In 1978, she moved to Kerrville, Texas, where she and the father of her children, Fara Farahani, established "Fara's Restaurant" together-a venture she helped nurture with great love and care. \r\n\r\nCandice was also an incredibly loving and giving mother. Her three compassionate, resilient, and accomplished children are each a testament to her boundless capacity to give love unconditionally. \r\n\r\nBetter known as "Candy" to those who knew and loved her, she attracted countless friends with her compassionate heart, free spirit, and innate sense of wisdom.
