Cavalier (APA 37) attached to the U.S. Seventh Fleet and two years on the Staff of the Commander of the Alaskan Sea Frontier headquartered at Kodiak, Alaska. Whatever success he enjoyed in his business life he attributed to the education he received from both Notre Dame and Tivy and the discipline and ordered structure acquired in the Navy.\r\n\r\nUpon discharge from the Navy, he and his wife Rosie returned to Kerrville where he joined Charles Schreiner Company in an accounting position, ultimately advancing to the position of Secretary of that company.\r\n\r\nIn 1972, he joined The Kerrville Telephone Company as Vice-President, Finance and Administration. He also chaired a committee selected by the City Council, The Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce and the KEDF that ultimately recommended to the City and the Voters of Kerrville that it approve the 4A - 4B Sales tax to assist in offsetting future ad-valorem tax increases and to allow certain urgent infrastructure needs of the city be immediately satisfied.\r\n\r\nIn 1994, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the San Antonio Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and served on that Board for four years. In 1999, he was appointed to a six year term on the Upper Guadalupe Board of Directors by Governor George W. Bush. He served as its vice-president and president as well as chaired several important committees, including its Finance and Operations Committee and its Search Committee.\r\n\r\nWeinheimer was a member of Notre Dame Church and served it in numerous capacities during his early life.
