Buddy Webber of Center Point passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Trinity Nursing Center in Comfort, Texas.\r\n \r\nBuddy was born on September 7, 1929 in Artesia, New Mexico. He grew up in Lovington, New Mexico and had a wonderful life with three brothers and three sisters. He was a star athlete, winning many honors. After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy.\r\n\r\nHe was a graduate of College of the Southwest in Hobbs, New Mexico. Being from a pioneer family of ranchers in Lea County, New Mexico, Buddy had opportunities to enjoy many activities relating to ranch life. He chose to work in the oil industry. First for Texaco, and then moving to Scotland and working offshore in Africa, Spain, Norway and Scotland, retiring as Vice President of WHIL Rigs.\r\n\r\nUpon retiring, Buddy moved to his ranch in the beautiful Texas Hill Country where he enjoyed his tractor club, his beautiful draft horses, and you could always find him dancing two or three nights a week with his dance club. \r\n\r\nSurviving Buddy are his three children, Ladd III of Dallas, Texas, Lynn of Abilene, Texas and Kim Brown (Gary) of Scottsdale, Arizona; brother, Leon Webber of Midland, Texas; and sister, Tommie Childs of Bastrop, Texas.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, Ladd and Tommie Webber; brothers, Dr. Joe Bill Webber, Dick Webber; and sisters, Mary Nell Lynn and Nettie Belfi.\r\n\r\nMemorial services will be 11 AM, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Kerrville Church of Christ (1900 TX 534 Loop) with Jimmy Sportsman officiating.\r\n\r\nMany thanks to the nurses at Trinity Nursing Center.\r\n\r\n
