Alva Bruce Hyde, 84 a long time Bandera hang around passed away on January17th, 2019 in Bandera Texas. He was born in Hunt, Texas to Leonard and Frances (Secrest) Hyde on June 10th, 1934.\r\nA graduate of Bandera High, he married a local girl, Cherry Whitaker on December 3, 1955. He was a husband, businessman, father and owner of a construction business in Katy, Texas. \r\n\r\nHe is preceded in death by his wife, mother, father, brotherWarren and a long progenitor line of Hydes and Secrests. \r\n\r\nBruce is survived by Steven (son) and Sharon Hyde, Mark (son) and Marie Hyde, Carol (daughter) and Jickey Harwell, grandchildren Jacob Hyde, Colby Harwell and Sarah Harwell Stephenson, step grandchildren Katherine Lopez ,Mark Pederson, Dusty Hough and Wendy Hough and a passal of great grandchildren, a great pleasure and relief.\r\n\r\nThere will no visitation. Graveside services will be conducted at 11am at Bandera Cemetery in Bandera Texas. Burial will be immediately afterward. \r\n\r\nLiving his life as a working man, Bruce preferred that funeral attendance be in your everyday normal working attire. In lieu of memorials, Bruce preferred for you to spend time reflecting on your journey in a quiet moment of introspection.
