Bradford Ray Walker passed away on February 17, 2022. He was born on January 6, 1951, to Mary Bowden and Albert Ray Walker in Paris Tennessee. Graduating from Carmichaels High School, he attended Penn State University. Bradford’s first job opportunity was helping his father in construction in West Virginia, kickstarting a career in Power Plant construction and safety.
Bradford met and married Patricia Moran while on a job in Hibbing, Minnesota; together they had one child: Abigail Elizabeth Walker. He worked for Zachry Group for twenty-five plus years, but he started his career with the Fayette Coal Power Plant in Texas and later went onto the Old Dominion Electric Cooperative.
Later his job moved him to Florida where he did multiple projects through FP&L, and after that he spent time working in Chibougamau, city, Nord-du-Québec region, central Quebec province, Canada. He lived in Texas most of his life from small towns to big cities such as Houston and San Antonio and eventually retired to the cowboy capital of the world Bandara, TX. Bradford will always be remembered as a man who wore many hats, whether it be construction, panama, western, or your standard ball cap. He will be greatly missed for his ability to spin long yarns and hold friendships for decades.
He is survived by his sister Cindi Walker; daughter, Abigail Ferguson and husband Jason Ferguson; and two grandchildren, Dylan and Colin Ferguson.
