Bobbie Jean Kotzur passed peacefully after an extended illness on June 26, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. She is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, dancing, singing and rejoicing with family and friends that have gone on before her.\r\n\r\nBobbie was born on July 4, 1939, in San Antonio to Hazel Raye and Joe Morgan Billings. Bobbie was the last surviving child of her four siblings, Norma Trimble, Dorothy Andersen, Joe Billings, Jr. and Thelma Smith.\r\n\r\nShe spent nearly all of her life in San Antonio and Bandera, Texas, except for a few years spent in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Bobbie and Charles Murray raised four daughters and one son. Much of Bobbie's working career was spent as a Bookkeeper, where she managed the finances for various companies and a family owned business.\r\n\r\nBobbie, affectionally referred to as "Grammie" by her grandchildren, was dearly loved by her family and friends. She enjoyed the companionship of her beloved cat, Babygirl. \r\n\r\nBobbie was a proud member of the Tarpley Baptist Church.\r\n\r\nBobbie is survived by her five children, Jean Schaefer of San Antonio, TX, Joan Murray of Bandera, TX, Debra Brooks (Matthew) of Kerrville, TX, Charles Murray, Jr. of Bandera, TX and Tammy Dawson Ridgeland, SC, and their father, Charles Murray of San Antonio, TX, as well as her two grandchildren, Jennifer Schaefer of Chicago, IL and Adam Dawson of Ridgeland, SC, and a host of nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nBobbie had selfless and unconditional love for her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Her family feels blessed to have shared the time she spent here. She will forever be loved and missed.\r\n\r\nArrangements are being handled by Grimes Funeral Chapel located at 1214 Mulberry, Bandera, Texas 78003. \r\n\r\nShe will be laid to rest at Bandera Cemetery in Bandera, TX, with a memorial service to follow at a later date.\r\n
