Billy Gene Gasper, 81, of Cypress, TX, passed away on February 18, 2019 in Kerrville, TX. He was born in Cypress to Alex Gasper and Anna Sabo on August 19, 1937. He married Carolyn Berry on July 27, 1962 in Cypress, TX.\r\n\r\nHe attended Cy-Fair High School, graduating class of 1957 where he was a member of FFA. He worked as an electrician for Houston Lighting and Power for 19 years, he was also a member of the local Union 66 IBEW. He was a Veteran and served in the Army, mostly based out of Germany.\r\n\r\nBilly Gene Gasper was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Anna Gasper; brothers, Alex, John, and David; sisters, Helen, Ann, Erma and Margarett.\r\n\r\nBilly is survived by his spouse, Carolyn Berry Gasper; children, William and Shane Gasper, their wives, Candy and Charlotte; his sister, Mary Lou Ulrich; grandchildren, Derek, David, Dustin, Kayla, Hallie and Alex; great-grandchildren, Dallas and Hallie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nEarly visitation will be at Grimes Funeral Chapels, 728 Jefferson, Kerrville, Texas, on February 22, 2019 at 1pm with the service to follow at 2pm. Burial will follow at Nichols Cemetery.\r\n\r\nPallbearers will be Shane Gasper, William Gasper, Alex Gasper, Marty Spivey, Jeff Spivey and Derek Yaklin.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be given to Christ United Church Cypress Women's Guild, 14207 Telge Rd., Cypress, TX 77429.\r\n\r\nThe Gasper Family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Visiting Angels, Heart Choices and Peterson Hospice for their support and loving care.\r\n\r\n
